Metro E Line: Culver City Station Emergency Drill

On Saturday, March 30th, from 6:00 AM until 10:00 AM, Metro personnel, the Culver City Police Department, Culver City Fire Department, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, and City of Los Angeles Fire and Police Departments will conduct an emergency drill on the Metro E Line at the Culver City Station.
The eastbound track will be closed for the exercise, but the westbound track will remain in service
This emergency drill is being conducted in the event there is ever an emergency on the Metro E Line in Culver City. The purpose of this drill is to test and prepare in the event an emergency such as this occurs.
The community can expect to see a large presence of first responders and vehicles. Fire apparatus will be parked on streets bordering Ivy Station. No sirens will be used. Simulated smoke will be used and will be seen coming from the exercise train.
The plaza area between the Ivy Station property and Metro’s Culver City Station platform will be used to stage the exercise and will be used to park emergency vehicles and participant vehicles.
