The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) and the contractor for the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project, Walsh/Shea Corridor Constructors (WSCC), will implement daily closures on Crenshaw Boulevard in the Hyde Park area from Monday, September 14 through Friday, September 25, 2020 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The work is needed to restore Crenshaw Boulevard between 60th Street and 71st Street. The road restoration includes grinding of the existing roadway, placement of new asphalt paving and final striping of traffic lanes.
Daily closure of northbound and southbound lanes on Crenshaw Boulevard along with both eastbound and westbound intersection closure will be implemented to facilitate these improvements. The boulevard will be reopened to vehicular traffic and parking daily after the work hours.
What to Expect
One traffic lane will remain open in each direction. Intermittent restrictions of driveway access during the work activity and parking restrictions will be implemented. Access for emergency responders will be maintained.

The Crenshaw/LAX Line is an 8.5-mile light rail line that will include eight new stations to serve the Crenshaw, Inglewood, Westchester and LAX communities. A ninth station will be added after opening to connect the Crenshaw/LAX Line, Metro C Line (Green) and bus lines to the future LAX automated people mover.
